  • EndNote

    Your name:
    Anon

    Hello,

Could you please consider updating OneSearch so that it integrates with EndNote X6, the version of EndNote that UWA provides free of charge to all students?

At the moment, OneSearch only integrates with EndNote Web, which is a premium program not licensed by UWA.

Alternatively, could you consider offering students access to the EndNote Web program?

Thank you for your consideration of this suggestion.

  • Update Microsoft Silverlight on computers in library.

    Your name:
    Megan

The computers in the Reid and Science library don't have the most recent version of Microsoft Silverlight installed. This means sites that require it such as the 'Aboriginal Heritage Inquiry System' (AHIS) cannot be acessed at uni. It would be great if this was updated :)

  • Study rooms

    Your name:

Can you please find a way to soundproof the study rooms? Too often I have nosy people outside my room listening to what I have to say and it's very annoying. Maybe buy some sound acoustic foam from Clark Rubber, or some new doors to absorb the sound so they don't listen to me. Otherwise you are doing a great job, thanks

  • Getting better connection in bottom floor of Reid Library

My devices won't connect to Unifi on the bottom floor of the Reid Library since it is so congested in busy times (which are normally the times I am at uni). If I am collaborating in that area, I need internet access. It is close to impossible these days to work without it.

Please either put in another router or improve the settings please, it would be greatly appreciated and the many people that use that area will be grateful.

    Thank you.

  • slow down scanning on copier in library

    Your name:
    peter

The first photocopier on the right in the special enclosure to the side of the reception desk in the entrance foyer, does its scanning too fast. I tried to put a number of pages though to scan onto my email address, and unless is was veryf ast, it switched off and I had to re-enter my id and password.

  • Please reinstate the New Books display

    Your name:
    Peter

Please reinstate the New Books display. I really miss this.

To maximise the return on the considerable investment that is made on new books it is important that people can readily have a look at these new books. This will maximise the chance that the books will be borrowed and actually used.

Now that the New Books display has gone I suspect that the time interval between a new book arriving in the library and it being borrowed will increase considerably, maybe indefinitely...
